About your coach
Hi! My name is Nathan. I’m a sponsored surfer and skater currently studying in Business at MiraCosta College. Beyond competing and training, I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned in and out of the water with others. I’m also CPR, AED, and Lifeguard certified through the American Red Cross.
Self-improvement has played a huge role in my life, helping me reach milestones I once thought were out of reach. That journey filled me with gratitude and inspired me to help others like me—people who once doubted their potential but are capable of so much more. Learning to approach challenges with a positive mindset made me fall in love with teaching. I’ve always loved helping my friends push their limits, and seeing their excitement as they progress is what made me realize—I never want to stop teaching.
In my free time I like to give back to the community by volunteering at Feeding America and help with beach clean-up activities. As well staying busy by playing sports, music and reading.
Feelings are much like waves. We can't stop them from coming but we can choose which one to surf.

~At our surf program, the ocean is more than just water -It's a classroom. Each wave teaches a kid perseverance when they fall, courage when they paddle back out, and confidence when they stand tall. Surfing becomes the fun pathway for building strong bodies, resilient minds, and uplifting spirits.
